The City's top guns battle it out - Blue-chip companies from the Square Mile put forward their best shots for this prestigious shooting championships event

The 2008 Strutt & Parker City Shooting Championships took place this week at the beautiful estate of Highclere Castle on a typical British summer’s day - absolutely chucking it down! But it was water off waxed jacket as far as the 160 guns were concerned and the spirits were resolutely un-dampened. Many of the UK’s top shots take part in this fabulous event every year to raise monies for the chosen charity of that year.Roy Sunley, CEO of PPi, is a member of the winning Baron Philips Associates team with a winning score of 801 out of a possible 1,000. Roy has been clay Pigeon shooting for the last 15 years across the UK. “This is a major charity fundraising event which last year raised many thousands of pounds for a charity involved with terminally ill children and this year raised a substantial sum for TUSK” says Sunley. “PPi have been involved with this event for the last couple of years and I’m looking forward to raising even more money for next year’s chosen charity”.
